Solar Work We Do at Your Home
We handle solar panel installation from the first roof check to the day the utility turns it on. We also add battery storage to new or existing systems, track down problems in systems that are underproducing, and clean panels that have lost output to dust and pollen. If your roof is a good fit, roof-mounted solar is where most of our work happens.

Solar Panel Installation
New rooftop solar for your home, from roof check and permit to final inspection, with a clear record of the work that ends up hidden under the panels.

Battery Storage
We size a home battery to the circuits you care about, install it with solar or on its own, and show you photos of the work.
Solar Repair
We find out why your solar system stopped producing, show you the cause, and fix inverters, wiring, connectors and damaged panels.
Panel Cleaning
Gentle cleaning with purified water that clears dust, pollen and bird droppings, plus photos showing every panel before and after.
Roof-Mounted Solar
Panels bolted into your rafters through flashed mounts, with photos of the roof, the attachments and the wiring before anything gets covered up.

About Solar Installation Garland
We are a solar company that works on homes in Garland and the towns around it. We install panels, add batteries, fix systems and clean them. That is the work, and we keep it simple.
Photos are part of every job we do. You get pictures of the roof before we start, the mounts and wiring as they go in, and the finished array. If something on your system fails down the road, that record helps us find it fast.
North Texas summers are hard on equipment, and spring hail can crack glass. We build with that in mind and we come back when you need us.

From First Call to First Power
Here is what happens between talking with us and the day your system starts making electricity.
- 1
Phone call and bill review
We talk about your home, your roof and your electric use. Have a recent bill handy if you can.
- 2
Site visit
We check the roof, attic, shade and electrical panel. You get photos of what we found, good and bad.
- 3
Design, estimate and permit
We lay out the panels, write up the line-item estimate and, once you say go, pull the permit and file the utility paperwork.
- 4
Install day
Most home installs take a day or two on the roof. We send pictures of the mounts, flashing and wiring as the work goes in, then clean up.
- 5
Inspection and switch-on
A city inspector signs off on the work and the utility gives its approval. Then we flip the system live, sit down with you over the monitoring app so the numbers make sense, and hand over the last set of photos.

What Sets the Cost of a Solar System
No two homes match, so we never price from a table. The number depends on a handful of things we can measure on site. These are the ones we check.
Once we have seen your home and your bills, we give you a written estimate with each item on its own line. Ask about any of it before you make a call.
- System size
- Your power use decides the panel count. We go through twelve months of electric bills so the system matches what you really use.
- Roof layout and access
- A plain roof facing south or west is quicker to work than one broken up by angles, vents and skylights. Steep roofs and two-story houses need more safety setup.
- Roof condition
- Panels stay on a roof for many years. If your shingles are wearing out, we share photos of what we found so you can plan ahead of the install.
- Equipment choices
- The panel brand, the type of inverter and adding a battery all move the price. We explain what each choice does so you can pick what suits your home.
- Electrical panel
- Some older main panels need an upgrade before they can take solar. We look at yours on the first visit.
- Permits and utility paperwork
- Every job has permit fees and utility hookup steps. We put them in the estimate up front so nothing pops up later.
What Homeowners Want to Know
What will a solar system cost me?
That depends on your power use, the shape of your roof and the equipment you choose. We hold off on a number until we have looked at your roof and bills. After that visit, you get a written estimate with every part listed.
Will solar work on my roof?
South- or west-facing roofs with little shade tend to do best. We also look at how old the shingles are and what shape they are in. If your roof is a poor match, we say so and share what we saw.
How long is the install?
Roof work tends to take a day or two. Start to finish runs longer, since permits, the city inspection and utility approval all take time. We update you along the way.
Do my panels keep running in a power outage?
Not by themselves. A grid-tied system shuts down when the grid does, so it never sends power onto lines crews are working on. To keep power in an outage, a battery can run your most important circuits.
What if hail damages my panels?
Panels can handle a good amount of hail, but a severe storm can still break the glass. After one, we can check your array and send photos of any damage. Those help if you make an insurance claim, though your adjuster decides what is covered.
How often do panels need cleaning?
Dust, pollen and bird droppings collect on the glass and lower output. For many homes, one or two cleanings a year is enough. If production falls and the panels look grimy, it is time for a wash.
Is your work under warranty?
Yes. Our installation work carries a 10-year workmanship warranty on solar. Equipment makers cover their own products separately, and we explain what those warranties include before work begins.
Will you repair a system another company put in?
Yes. We test it, find the fault and show it to you. Then we explain what the repair involves before we start anything.

How We Work on Your Home
Most people never see what happens on their own roof during a solar job. We change that with pictures and plain answers.
- A visual record, start to finish
- We take pictures of the roof, the attic side of the mounts, the wiring runs and the finished array. You keep them, so you know what is up there and how it was put together.
- An honest fit check
- Some roofs face the wrong way or sit under too much shade. If solar will not pay off on your home, we tell you that and show you why.
- Line-item estimates
- Your estimate lists panels, inverter, racking, wiring, permits and labor on separate lines. No lump number you have to guess at.
- Repair before replace
- When a system stops producing, we test it first. Often it is one bad connector, a tripped breaker or a single failed optimizer, not a whole new setup.
- A clean job site
- We protect your yard and walkways during the work and pick up every scrap of wire, packaging and hardware before we leave.
